UK’s Prince William Makes Historic Trip to Israel

Prince William, the Duke of Cambridge, made a historic visit to Israel this week — the first official visit by a British royal to the Holy Land. After visiting Yad Vashem Holocaust Memorial, the Prince met with Israeli President Reuven Rivlin, who welcomed him “from the bottom of our hearts.”

  • The IDF this week attacked and destroyed a vehicle belonging to one of Hamas’ military commanders. In response, Hamas fired 13 rockets at Israeli border communities.
  • On Monday, U.S. President Trump welcomed Jordan’s King Abdullah to the White House. The two discussed mutual areas of concern including terrorism, the threat from Iran, and the crisis in Syria.
  • During those talks with King Abdullah, President Trump said that “a lot of progress has been made in the Middle East” and that things are “a lot different.”

This week’s Israel in the News Perspective features The Fellowship’s Ami Farkas, wishing the United States a Happy Birthday.
