Terror Attack on Paris Police

After yesterday's terror attack in London that left one dead, a terrorist just attempted another attack in Paris. CBS News reports that a man was shot after driving an explosives-laden vehicle into a police van in Paris, resulting in a blast and a deadly response by French police:

A man rammed his car into a police vehicle in Paris' Champs-Elysees shopping district Monday, prompting a fiery explosion, and was killed in the incident, authorities said. France's anti-terrorism prosecutor opened an investigation.

Interior Minister Gerard Collomb told reporters near the scene that the driver died after the "attempted attack" on security forces. He said the car was carrying explosives.

No police officers or passers-by were hurt, the Paris police department said...
