Israeli children rejoice on Shavuot, 1973, by releasing birds into the sky
Shavuot Blessings from Stand for Israel

Stand for Israel is suspending activity Wednesday, May 31, for Shavuot, the Jewish holiday also known as Pentecost. We’ll be back on Thursday, June 1 — and rest assured, if any critically important developments related to Israel come up over the weekend, we’ll be here to let you know about them.

Enjoy this photo taken in 1973 at Israel’s Kibbutz Givat Brenner, showing Israeli children releasing doves on this joyous biblical festival also called The Feast of Weeks.
