Rabbi Yechiel Eckstein Responds to US Withdrawal from UNESCO

Rabbi Eckstein responded to the recent decision by the Trump administration to withdraw from UNESCO:

“It’s absurd to think that while terrorists and rogue regimes systematically persecute and destroy cultures across the world, UNESCO has remained fixated on undermining the Jewish people’s indisputable link to the land of Israel and its holiest sites. Instead of protecting Israel’s cultural heritage, the organization has become another instrument for Israel’s enemies to attack the only free democracy in the Middle East. America’s withdrawal from UNESCO should send a clear and strong message to the international community that, no matter how hard our enemies might try, Israel’s history cannot be erased.”

UNESCO’s history of harsh anti-Israel bias is well documented.
