Photo Friday: All Your Trees

David Ben-Gurion plants tree for Tu B'Shvat, 1963 (Photo: Moshe Pridan/GPO)

"Sing for joy, you heavens, for the LORD has done this;
    shout aloud, you earth beneath.
Burst into song, you mountains,
    you forests and all your trees,
for the LORD has redeemed Jacob,
    he displays his glory in Israel."
(Isaiah 44:23)

This week, the Jewish people celebrated God's creation on the holiday of Tu B'Shvat. And in this photo from 1963, Israel's first Prime Minister, David Ben-Gurion, does the same, planting a new tree in the Holy Land with two Israeli children. Shabbat shalom, friends.
