Netanyahu Praises Police Pursuit of Terrorist

After Israeli police stopped a terrorist in Jerusalem earlier this week, the soldiers’ dedication to guarding the people of Jerusalem is being noticed by top officials – including Prime Minister Netanyahu. As terror in the Holy Land continues, Israeli police officers continue to bring protection over Israel and her people.

"From the reports we're getting, the policemen engaging the terrorist demonstrated great determination. They acted quickly, pursued the terrorist and eliminated him," Netanyahu said.

President Reuven Rivlin also commented on the attack, saying, "We cannot lend terrorists the power to undermine our spirit. We must stand steadfast."

Public Security Minister Gilad Erdan reiterated the role social media plays in incitement to terrorism.

"Incitement on social media has an impact," he said. "It makes people take to the streets to commit murder carry out terrorist attacks. In this context I say to Facebook and other internet companies: You bear direct responsibility."
