Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu claims he has evidence that Iran has been lying about developing nuclear weapons. In an interview on “Fox and Friends” this week, Netanyahu said Israel has obtained more than 100,000 secret files that proves the Iranians have been lying.

Also this week in Israel in the News:

  • Based on evidence that shows Iran has covered up a nuclear weapons program before signing the 2015 deal, Israel’s Netanyahu is calling on U.S. President Trump to pull out of the deal. President Trump has until May 12 to re-sign the deal.
  • Newly appointed U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo met with Prime Minister Netanyahu in Jerusalem, just hours before Israel allegedly carried out airstrikes on Syrian military sites.
  • Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas gave an anti-Israel, anti-Semitic speech before the Palestinian National Council that blamed the Jews for the Holocaust and accused Zionists of collaborating with Hitler.
  • The Arabic-speaking Druze community in Israel recently honored Fellowship founder and President Rabbi Yechiel Eckstein for the organization’s longtime and steadfast support of the Druze — the first time the group has ever honored a Jewish rabbi.

This week’s Israel in the News Perspective features The Fellowship’s Global Executive Vice President Yael Eckstein on preparing for war.
