Israeli Leaders Voice Support for U.S. Strike

Late last night, U.S. warships struck a Syrian airfield with 59 cruise missiles in response to a horrific chemical weapons attack by Syria on its own people. Israeli leaders, long worried about the disastrous effects should Syria’s bloody conflict spill over Israel’s borders, welcomed this show of strength by the U.S. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu:

In both word and action, President Trump sent a strong and clear message today that the use and spread of chemical weapons will not be tolerated. Israel fully supports President Trump's decision and hopes that this message of resolve in the face of the Assad regime's horrific actions will resonate not only in Damascus, but in Tehran, Pyongyang and elsewhere.
