Writing at JNS, Jonathan Tobin says that when Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu gave his presentation earlier this week on secret documents that reveal the true extent of Iran’s nuclear ambitions, he was telling those who downplay the Iranian nuclear threat something that they desperately need to hear:

Those claiming that Israel’s fears about Iran were exaggerated used that estimate as a cudgel to beat down efforts to raise the alarm about the danger of the Islamist regime. The estimate continued to be cited in the early years of Obama’s presidency as he sought to rally public support for an effort to create a rapprochement with Tehran.
