Iran Conducts Missile Test, Violates UN Rules

Officials announced that Iran conducted a test launch of a ballistic missile this week, in direct violation of U.N. rules. Both Israel and the U.S. reacted swiftly. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called the test a “serious violation” that should not be ignored.

  • This week Israelis celebrated the life of astronaut Ilan Ramon, one of seven astronauts killed in the Space Shuttle Challenger disaster 14 years ago. The first Israeli astronaut to go into space, Ramon is the only foreign recipient of the U.S. Congressional Space Medal of Honor, which was awarded posthumously.
  • IDF forces are preparing for thousands of rockets being fired into Israel as tension mounts between Israel and Palestinians.
  • The Fellowship will help Venezuelan Jews recently cleared for immigrating to Israel with assistance in resettling into their new homeland.
  • President Donald Trump and Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will meet Feb. 15 in Washington to discuss the security and well-being of both countries.
