Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu gave a video message from the Holy City this year for Israel’s many Christian friends. As Israel Hayom reports, in the video above, Netanyahu offered to be Christians’ personal tour guide in the Holy Land next Christmas:

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu offered to play tour guide to Christian pilgrims, in a message relayed on Sunday from Jerusalem, whose recognition as Israel’s capital by U.S. President Donald Trump has split global Christian opinion.

A video posted on Twitter on Christmas Eve shows Netanyahu against the backdrop of east Jerusalem, the area laden with Jewish, Christian and Muslim shrines that Israel liberated in the 1967 Six-Day War and which Palestinians want as their future capital.

In the message, titled “Merry Christmas from Jerusalem, the capital of Israel,” the prime minister described Israel as a haven for its 2% Christian minority, saying, “We protect the rights of everyone to worship in the holy sites behind me…”
