Anti-Semitic Attacks Strike U.S. Jewish Centers, Schools, Cemeteries

The troubling wave of anti-Semitic attacks across the U.S. continued Monday when at least 29 Jewish community centers and schools received bomb threats, prompting evacuations. A Jewish cemetery in Philadelphia was also vandalized. This is the second attack against a Jewish cemetery in the past week.

Also this week in Israel in the News:

  • A week after ISIS-affiliated terrorists reportedly fired rockets into Israel from Egypt’s Sinai Peninsula, a rocket was fired from Gaza into southern Israel. Israel is holding Hamas, Gaza’s governing body, responsible.
  • The Fellowship is partnering with the World Jewish Congress to fund a series of security measures to protect the Jewish community in Nice, France, where 86 people were killed and hundreds injured in a truck ramming attack last year.
  • Iran continued to test-fire new missile technologies during annual military exercises this week, despite the reinstatement of some sanctions by the U.S. against the Iranian government.
