7 Christians Killed in Egyptian Bus Attack

The Fellowship takes very seriously the persecution of Christians that has continued to grow around the world. We were especially appalled by last year's ISIS attack on Egyptian Christians that left more than two dozen dead. So it is with an especially heavy heart that we learned of a new attack today, reported here by The Mirror's Chris Kitching, on a bus of Christian pilgrims in Egypt that killed at least seven and wounded fourteen more:

At least seven people have been killed and 14 injured in a gun attack on a bus carrying Coptic Christians to a monastery in Egypt.

The victims were on their way to the Monastery of Saint Samuel the Confessor when assailants sprayed the bus with bullets in an attack similar to one carried out by ISIS last year.

Photos posted online show distraught and injured survivors, including young children, covered in blood...

There have been a number of deadly attacks against Coptic Christians in Egypt in recent years, including a similar assault by ISIS militants in May last year...
