Tomb of Jesus Undergoing Repairs

The tomb inside the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, believed by many to be the site where Jesus was buried and resurrected, is getting some long-awaited repair work.

The Times of Israel reports:

The [restoration] works are the first in almost two centuries that will focus on repairing, reinforcing and conserving the structure.

Pilgrims will be able to continue visiting the site while the work is underway. It’s expected to last up to a year.

At a time when so many religious sites are being destroyed across the Middle East, we are grateful to see such an important site being lovingly restored.
