Project Spotlight: Passover Clothing Cards for Kids in Need

Passover Clothing Card Distribution to Needy Children IFCJ

As part of The Fellowship’s overall Passover assistance, we are providing clothing cards to 20,000 of Israel’s neediest children. The cards, valued at $77, are redeemable at Fox, Israel’s leading clothing store chain.

The children, who attend the Department of Welfare and Department of Education after-school programs, are not used to new clothes. It’s customary for children to get a new outfit at Passover, but these kids do without – at the holidays and throughout the year.

The sense of pride this gift brings to the children is tough to put into words. But the big smiles on their faces say a lot.

At one of many events to distribute these Fellowship cards, the children enjoyed sandwiches and snacks, a hands-on cooking project, and wishing each other -- and our faithful donors who made this gift possible -- l’chaim (cheers).
