Project Spotlight: High Holy Days Help in Israel

This is a place holder image for bridge blog posts without an image selected.

Rabbi Eckstein traveled to Ashdod, Israel, last week to launch this year’s High Holy Days program in Israel, which will feed almost 15,000 needy families and 14,000 soldiers, and provide clothing and school supplies to 10,000 children.

The High Holy Days begin with Rosh Hashanah (the Jewish New Year) next week, and continue through Yom Kippur (the Day of Atonement) ten days later.

Thanks to The Fellowship’s North American donors, the $3-million New Year Assistance Campaign will help thousands of Israelis living in poverty (Jews, Arabs, Druze, and Bedouin) to purchase food and clothing from a major retail partner without the shame of asking for handouts or hand-me-downs.

This year’s aid also will help some 400 new immigrant families who recently arrived in Israel from Ukraine on one of the Fellowship Freedom Flights since December 2014.

Passover a Sacred Time to Save Lives

Help the Unseen

You can heed the biblical mandate “not to turn away from your own flesh and blood” (Isaiah 58:7) and provide a needy elderly Jew, like Olga, with food, heating fuel, warm clothes, and blankets this winter. Every day is important as the harsh cold winds descend upon the former Soviet Union. Please prayerfully consider giving your best and most generous gift to The Fellowship today for this lifesaving work.
