This morning the members of the NBCA delegation began their day by blessing Israel’s neediest at The Fellowship’s Pantry Packers project in Jerusalem.

The group was divided into four teams to pack bags of rice and chickpeas that will be delivered to those who would otherwise have to do without. The sense of satisfaction was palpable both during and following the work.

The group spent the remainder of the afternoon visiting sites throughout Jerusalem, including the Western Wall and Yad Vashem Holocaust Museum, and the day ended with Shabbat dinner.

Their pilgrimage will conclude with visits tomorrow to the Garden Tomb at Golgotha, the Dead Sea region, and Qumran, where the 2,000-year-old Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered in the mid-1900s. Following dinner, they will drive to Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv for their return flight home.
