Jerusalem Zoo Welcomes Three Baby Giraffes

Jerusalem zoo - baby giraffes (Photo: flickr/dayland)

The Biblical Zoo in Jerusalem welcomed three baby giraffes over the weekend! You can check out the latest photos here.

Three giraffes have given birth in the last month in the Biblical Zoo in Jerusalem. The calves are the second generation of a family that was brought to Israel from South Africa 10 years ago, and found a new home in the African Savannah section of the zoo, also known as the Tisch Family Zoological Gardens.

Help the Unseen

You can heed the biblical mandate “not to turn away from your own flesh and blood” (Isaiah 58:7) and provide a needy elderly Jew, like Olga, with food, heating fuel, warm clothes, and blankets this winter. Every day is important as the harsh cold winds descend upon the former Soviet Union. Please prayerfully consider giving your best and most generous gift to The Fellowship today for this lifesaving work.
