Faces of The Fellowship: Sonya

Sonya was born into a happy family in Russia. Her mother is a paramedic and her father is a traffic cop. She also has an older sister, Valeria. When Sonya was just two she lost consciousness one night and had to be taken to the hospital. She was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes, and began receiving insulin shots. The family is doing everything they can to help Sonya, but her medical needs are expensive.Thankfully, the family receives help from Fellowship-funded Chamah, which helped the family buy an insulin pump, a truly lifesaving piece of equipment. They are all grateful for the assistance, which will help Sonya grow into a healthy young woman.
