Faces of The Fellowship: Roza

The Fellowship  |  March 27, 2019

Roza is a 94-year-old Holocaust survivor from Morocco who now lives in Israel after making aliyah (immigrating to Israel). She relies on The Fellowship for survival.

Roza lives on the third floor of an old building that has no elevator. Roza only leaves home with the help of her caregiver. Since the building is so old, the plumbing needed repairs, but Roza couldn’t afford to pay a plumber.

Thankfully, The Fellowship is able to help her as needs arise, and we helped cover the cost of this home repair. Additionally, a Fellowship volunteer visits her each week as part of our With Dignity and Fellowship program, which provides impoverished elderly in Israel with warm clothing, food, medicine, and companionship.

When yet another emergency came up — this time Roza desperately needed dental care — we stepped in and provided her a grant to cover the dental treatments.

This is the kind of loving care generous Fellowship donors make possible every day.
