A Special Thank You Letter for Passover

IFCJ

While Jewish families around the world begin to prepare for the special holiday of Passover, The Fellowship will reach out to needy Jews who cannot even afford the basic necessities needed to celebrate this holiday with joy. During Passover, we hand out thousands of food and clothing cards to those who need it most. In the following letter, the director of social services for one of the cities The Fellowship aids shares why these vouchers mean so much to the people of Israel.

Dear Rabbi Eckstein,

The Sha'ar HaNegev Department of Social Services wants to thank you and The Fellowship for your great contribution to the children of the after-school programs and their families.

The children of the Kfar Aza and Nahal Oz after-school programs and their parents were very excited and happy about receiving the Fellowship clothing and food cards.

We thank The Fellowship which always remembers the families and the difficult security situation in which they live and which affects their mental and employment situation.

Thank you for your tremendous contribution to our region and for your continuing help in both good times and times that are less good.

Throughout the year we feel your partnership and your desire to help in all respects. This partnership stems from a genuine, caring, and honest place.

We all share the hope that days of peace and tranquility will soon come.

Sincerely,

Rona Tal
Director of Social Services
Regional Council Sha'ar HaNegev
