The Jerusalem Post reports that The Fellowship will help thousands of needy Israelis celebrate the High Holy Days, which begin with Rosh Hashanah on September 20. This is a special time of year where Jews take time to reflect and seek forgiveness.

The donation translates to NIS 200 vouchers for some 39,000 of Israel’s most needy citizens, and are eligible for use at the Shufershal supermarket chain and FOX clothing stores.

According to the IFCJ, the vouchers are intended to help recipients acquire food and clothing for the holidays “according to their needs and wishes in a discreet and respectful manner.”
