Sounding the Shofar for Rosh Hashanah

This Sunday at sundown is the beginning of Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year, which also ushers in the High Holy Days. One of the key traditions during Rosh Hashanah is the sounding of the shofar, which, as some children who recently made aliyah (immigrated to Israel) on Fellowship Freedom Flights discovered, isn’t the easiest instrument to play! Watch their attempts, as well as Rabbi Eckstein’s demonstration, in the video above.
