Project Spotlight: Supporting the Israel Defense Forces

The Fellowship has supported the Israel Defense Forces for years, mainly through our partnership with the Friends of the Israel Defense Forces (FIDF), providing needed assistance for these brave men and women who give their all to protect the Holy Land.

Through our Adopt a Battalion project, we have offered soldiers the extra support and resources not always available with limited government funds. Needy and “lone soldiers,” those who have no other family members in Israel, have received extra financial assistance, especially at the holidays. We have provided soldiers with food cards for the holidays, care packages when on extended patrols, recreation rooms on their bases so they get needed down time, scholarship assistance after finishing their years of service, and much more. We also support the widows and orphans of the soldiers who pay the ultimate price for protecting Israel.

Earlier this month, The Fellowship was presented a certificate of appreciation from the IDF, specifically for significant support of IDF soldiers in 2016 and for the assistance we have already given in 2017. In fact, thanks to our generous donors, The Fellowship gave a nearly $900,000 grant to support various programs benefiting soldiers this year.
