We continue to care for Israel’s elderly through our With Dignity and Fellowship program, bringing them food and companionship. As part of this program, we also host days to bring elderly together to learn and have fun. Recently, we hosted a “Morning of Health,” where staff form the Hillel Yaffe Medical Center demonstrated different exercises that help prevent disease and improve health.
Medical professionals instructed elderly to do various exercises like standing on one leg, getting up from a chair, and walking and returning to the sitting position. They assessed the physical fitness of the elderly in relation to their age and helped them learn the importance of physical activity in their life.
Everyone had a productive day and learned a little bit more about how to improve their lives with a fitness routine.
