Jerusalem Day Blessings from the Ecksteins

Jerusalem Day is a very personal holiday for Rabbi Eckstein and his daughter Yael.

Rabbi Eckstein made aliyah (immigrated to Israel) many years ago, and his life hasn't been the same since. He never thought he would live within walking distance of one of Judaism’s holiest sites, working to strengthen the land he loves so much.

Fifty years ago, many Israelis gave their lives to reunite Jerusalem. Today, the people of Israel benefit from their sacrifices. Every time Jews recite morning prayers, they're standing on the shoulders of great men and women who gave everything so others could live freely in their biblical homeland.
