Faces of The Fellowship: Bentzi

Faces of The Fellowship: Bentzi (Photo: Tikva)

Bentzi owes his life to The Fellowship. When he was a child, the Fellowship-supported orphanage called Tikva in Odessa, Ukraine, rescued him off the streets in 1996. He stayed at this children’s home until his school graduation in 2009.

Then The Fellowship helped him make aliyah, immigrate to Israel, where he joined the Israel Defense Forces (IDF). His time of service helped him assimilate into Israeli culture, make friends, and learn new skills.

During his service and after, The Fellowship continued to care for his wellbeing because we knew he had no family to support him. We provided emotional and financial support through our Keren L’Yedidut program, or Fellowship Fund, making sure he had the basic necessities he needed to succeed.

Today, Bentzi serves in the well-known Givati unit of the IDF. We are very proud of his success!

Learn how you can help more Jewish people make aliyah (immigrate to Israel) on a future Fellowship Freedom Flight.
