Achieving the Zionist Dream

The Fellowship hosted a special Freedom Flight today to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the passing of U.N. Resolution 181, which voted in favor of a Jewish state and was one of the first steps that led to the formation of the modern state of Israel.

As we remember this historic event, The Fellowship feels blessed to continue to welcome home Jews from around the world who make the state of Israel thrive.

Most of the olim (immigrants) who landed at Ben Gurion Airport early this morning are refugees from war-torn eastern Ukraine. Others came from Brazil. Although tired, the olim were happy to be home in Israel, where they will begin new lives of hope and freedom.

As the olim took their first steps in the Holy Land, some were wearing shirts with the flags of countries that voted in favor of the U.N.’s Resolution 181.

All were greeted by the singing and dancing of 8th grade students at the Ulpana Tzfira religious school for girls. These students also handed out balloons and Israeli flags to the new olim children.

Fellowship Freedom Flights wouldn’t be possible without our wonderful donors. Thank you to all of our supporters who keep the Zionist dream alive by blessing Israel and strengthening her people.
