The National Prayer Breakfast is taking place in Washington, D.C. this morning, bringing together lawmakers and religious leaders from 70 countries and all 50 states.
First organized in 1953, the National Prayer Breakfast is designed to gather political and religious leaders for the purpose of fellowship and praying for the country. Dwight Eisenhower was the first president to headline the event, and every successive president has done the same.
As our political and religious leaders gather this morning to continue this rich tradition of prayer and to lift our nation to God, let us join them in praying for our country and for the future of U.S.-Israel relations.
Also, sign up to join our Fellowship Prayer Team and join us in raising a chorus of prayer to God for the security, well-being, and protection of Israel, the Jewish people, the U.S., and the world.
