A Thank You from Those We Serve

The Fellowship-supported Jaffa Institute provides a wide range of services that helps break the grip of poverty that holds back so many of Israel's people. Recently, The Fellowship partnered with them to provide food cards to elderly people who live in poverty in Tel Aviv. We received the following letter of thanks - a thank you to you for making such aid possible.

Dear Rabbi Eckstein,

I hope this letter finds you in excellent health and spirits. Thank you so much for your generous donation to the Jaffa Institute's Accompany the Elderly project. Your support also benefits the severely disadvantaged children and families who participate in the Jaffa Institute's many activities.

We are constantly developing our projects to better meet the needs of those we serve. Our mission is to provide educational, recreational, and social enrichment programs to break the cycle of intergenerational poverty found in the communities of Jaffa, south Tel Aviv, and Bat Yam. We are committed to fostering each child's self-esteem so that he/she can evolve into a healthy, educated, and productive adult. Through over 30 different initiatives, including after-school programs, at-risk youth residences, and nutritional support services, we reach 4,000 Israelis annually. Thanks to your generous support, we are creating brighter futures and a better Israel.

Yours sincerely,

Dr. David J. Portowicz
