The Fellowship Crisis Hotline is a call center available to anyone in Israel – and is often a last hope for people who’ve reached their limit. Our operators assist callers by directing them to a Fellowship project or other non-profit or government organization that can help.
The Hotline helps people like Talya, 42, who works hard to support her three children working full-time at a car rental shop. She is separated from her husband and receives no child support. She can barely afford rent or groceries on her small salary. When she found out that her son was offered a spot in a class for gifted children, Talya knew the cost would be too high. The school wouldn’t waive or cover any entrance fees, so she contacted the Fellowship Crisis Hotline:
“I would like to thank the Fellowship Crisis Hotline for its caring attitude and help.
About a month ago, I contacted the Hotline for assistance with my son’s school payments. While talking with the Hotline coordinator, I felt that there was an angel on the other side of the line who wanted to help.
Within a week after my conversation with the coordinator, I received a payment of 1,200 shekels ($340 USD) for my son who is studying psychology in the program for outstanding and gifted students.
I would like to thank all the donors to the Hotline, including the staff and everyone behind the scenes.
I personally want to thank Anat, the Fellowship Crisis Hotline operator who took my call, for the warmth and strength she has given me.
I used to feel all alone. I have only my children and myself with no other family support. That's it. But now I feel a part of the much larger Fellowship family. Feeling such warmth and love from you and all the donors is not something that I take for granted.
Thank you very much!”
