Irael21c explains that Israelis are so particular about their coffee that not even Starbucks could stay open in the Holy Land. Here are some of the best Israeli coffee spots:

1. Café Kadosh

Perhaps Jerusalem’s top café, Café Kadosh has been treating locals and visitors alike to coffee and pastries for many decades.

A huge display cabinet is full of amazing patisserie, including croissants, fruit tarts and mouthwatering cakes. Also on the menu are breakfasts, sandwiches, salads and pastas.

You’d better make a reservation if you plan on going on Friday morning, when the place is packed with people starting off their weekend. Another option is to take home with you some cake for Shabbat – just know there’s no chance of passing it off as homemade.
