This morning the latest Fellowship Freedom Flight landed at Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv, bringing 122 new olim (immigrants) from war-torn eastern Ukraine to their new home in Israel through IFCJ’s ministry, On Wings of Eagles.

Although tired, the olim were happy to be home in Israel, where, thanks to The Fellowship, they are finally able to escape the violence and confusion in their homeland. As they entered the arrivals terminal, they were greeted by Israel Defense Forces soldiers from the Fellowship-adopted Shimshom Battalion. These soldiers, along with Fellowship staff and volunteers, handed out balloons and Israeli flags and sang songs to welcome the brand-new Israelis.

Additional Fellowship volunteers, retirees from the former Soviet Union, gave the immigrants from the Fellowship Freedom Flight their Israeli IDs, as well as sandwiches and water, and then drove them to their new homes to start their new lives in Israel, the homeland of the Jewish people.
