In Judaism, shalom, the familiar Hebrew word for “peace,” has a variety of meanings and usages. Shalom can mean hello — and goodbye. Essentially, we are wishing one another peace. This word figures prominently in greetings, prayers, and synagogue services.

Explore the blessing of peace in our lives and in our world, and what it means to have peace within our home and in our relationships with others.
